Before Your First Appointment
Insurance coverage for mental health services can vary significantly, even among members of the same insurance company. Coverage may depend on your specific plan, provider network, deductible, copayment or coinsurance, and the type of service received. When you contact us, we can help determine whether we have a provider who participates with your insurance plan. We also encourage clients to contact their insurance company directly to confirm behavioral health benefits and verify that their individual True Hope Counseling provider is considered in-network.
Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:
-
Is this provider in-network with my specific plan?
-
Do I have a deductible for outpatient mental health services?
-
What is my copay or coinsurance for outpatient therapy?
-
Is prior authorization required?
-
Are telehealth services covered?
-
Are there limitations on the number or frequency of therapy visits?
Self-Pay & Reduced-Fee Options
Self-pay services are available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose provider is not contracted with their insurance plan.
True Hope Counseling also offers reduced-fee counseling with our graduate counseling interns. Interns provide counseling under clinical supervision while completing their graduate training. This can be an affordable option for clients who do not have insurance coverage, are waiting for an opening with a licensed clinician, or are interested in working with one of our interns.
Please contact us for current provider availability, insurance participation, and self-pay or reduced-fee rates.
Questions About Your Coverage?
We are happy to help you understand which True Hope providers currently participate with your insurance. Because insurance benefits and networks can change, coverage cannot be guaranteed until your individual benefits and provider participation have been confirmed.
